Service Description

The Individual Therapy Consultation Session at Dahlia Rose Wellness Center is a 30-minute, structured video session designed to help you explore your needs, clarify your goals, and determine whether our practice is the right fit to support your healing. It is a purposeful, guided conversation led by a licensed therapist who listens deeply, offers insight, and helps you make an informed decision about your next steps. Many clients come to us at pivotal moments when life feels heavy, transitions feel overwhelming, or the strong friend persona begins to feel like armor. You may be a high-achieving woman balancing leadership, caregiving, and emotional exhaustion. You may be grieving the loss of a loved one, navigating burnout, or longing to reconnect with yourself. Whatever brings you here, this consultation offers a grounded starting point to pause, breathe, and explore what healing could look like with the right support. During the session, we will discuss what motivates you to seek therapy now, which areas of life feel tender or out of balance, and what you hope to achieve through the therapeutic process. Together, we will identify the patterns shaping your story emotionally, relationally, and professionally, and explore how therapy can help you create meaningful change. You will have space to share freely while we help you connect your feelings to what you need. The consultation also introduces you to our holistic and trauma-informed approach, which combines EMDR, grief and loss counseling, yoga therapy, breathwork, and culturally responsive care grounded in compassion and lived experience. Our therapists work with women of color, professionals, and caregivers who are ready to move from emotional overwhelm to clarity and alignment. There is a $100 consultation fee, which holds your appointment and reflects the preparation and expertise that go into this first meeting. You will receive a short intake form beforehand so we can make the most of our time together. Afterward, if we agree it is a good fit, we will schedule your first therapy session and outline a personalized care plan. Whether this is your first time in therapy or a return after past attempts that did not work out, this session provides a compassionate, pressure-free environment to reimagine what healing can feel like.
